MinXray Portable X-Rays
Portable X-Ray Systems at the Height of Diagnostic Excellence with Out of This World Portability
Portable, battery-powered digital radiography systems from MinXray are proven to provide superior diagnostic imaging and unrivaled flexibility at high-altitude and zero gravity.
MinXray Portable X-Rays
MinXray has been on the leading edge of portable x-ray technology for more than 55 years, and they have taken that experience to new heights … literally … from TB testing on Mt. Everest to the first recorded diagnostic medical radiographs at zero gravity.
Chest X-ray Screenings at 17,598 Feet Above Sea Level
In April of this year, MinXray, along with artificial intelligence (AI) solutions provider Qure.ai, brought portable digital radiography to one of the most out-of-the-way regions on earth, Mount Everest’s southeast base camp in Nepal.

Until now, radiographic imaging was not possible in a remote location like this. MinXray's Impact system has now proven itself to be a viable option for medical emergencies that can happen during a climb; making it possible to immediately radiograph the affected party and send images anywhere in the world for diagnosis. With the addition of the qXR module, both systems can be used as a chest X-ray screening tool to detect abnormalities.

The MinXray and Qure.ai teams took several sets of radiographs while image testing the Impact system at the Nepali base camp. These digital X-rays were conceivably taken at the highest altitude ever, and the team submitted this achievement to the Guinness Book of World Records.

MinXray Portable X-Rays
Maintaining High Quality X-Ray Imaging in Zero Gravity
In November, in a collaborative effort between research and industry, a team from MinXray, the University of Washington and Washington University, St. Louis acquired the first ever medical diagnostic radiographs in zero gravity! Utilizing MinXray’s Impact Battery-powered Portable X-ray System, the team proved that diagnostic radiographic imaging is now possible in Low Earth Orbit (LEO).

Bringing this technology to space has several benefits. X-ray imaging provides an additional diagnostic modality to the ultrasound technology, currently used in space. In addition, a portable X-ray system can be easily integrated into existing diagnostic technology, as X-ray and ultrasound images can potentially operate from the same laptop. An X-ray can also be used for non-destructive testing to possibly assist in maintaining the health of the vehicle, station or other equipment on board without the need for dismantling.

See why MinXray has been the trusted source for innovative, reliable and portable radiographic imaging solutions for over 55 years.
